Welcome to Habitraction, the blog dedicated to improving our lives by focusing on our daily habits and reworking them to align more closely with our goals and dreams.
Habitraction derives its name from the words “habit” and “traction”. Habits are the foundation of our lives. Without healthy habits, we are setting ourselves up for failure. Most of us go through life without realizing how much our unhealthy habits are impacting our lives. In order to reverse bad habits and replace them with healthy ones, there needs to be a plan in place so that those new habits can gain traction in our lives. I believe that if we can implement healthy, and productive habits into our lives, we’ll be more likely to succeed and feel better while we’re doing it.
I was inspired to write this blog after reading The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business. I highly encourage you to read it, as some of what I will talk about will be related to topics covered in the book.
The book discusses how habits influence our behaviours without our conscious awareness. For many of us, we’ve incorporated unhealthy habits into our lives that are holding us back from achieving our full potential. These habits are gnawing at the fibres of our lives, and it’s our job to halt them so that we can live the lives that we want to live. If we can identify the negative habits and replace them with healthy habits, then we’ll start building the futures that we want for ourselves. So let’s get started on this journey together!
